What Does the End of Saturday Mail Delivery Mean to You?

Yesterday, the USPS made the big announcement that they are moving ahead with five day delivery. They basically said that they will no longer deliver regular mail to your home on Saturdays starting in August of this year. They will, however, continue to deliver mail to PO Boxes six days a week and Package delivery will also remain at six days. Now that we have heard this plan what does it all really mean?

For Christmas 2010, my 75 year old mother bought me an iPad because she loves gadgets and thought, "These Apple things are cool." So cool that she had to get one for herself, and she now uses it for email and Facebook. Of course she hasn’t spoken to many of her Facebook friends in years, but she feels she is in touch with them by "liking" or commenting on their pictures. Dan Browne has been part of the SourceLink team for 10 years, and has 20 years experience in Marketing.  Before his Product Manager role, Dan was the Manager of Data Processing where he led the team responsible for preparing customer data for mailings.  Prior to SourceLink he held the position of Project Manager at Draft World Wide’s digital technical services department where he was responsible for managing client’s direct marketing campaigns.  Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Northern Illinois University and works out of the SourceLink Chicago office.
