What direction is the USPS heading in the next several years?

Do you ever question what the Post Office means by Full-Service, eDoc, Automation Rates, or some of the many acronyms the Post Office uses, such as NDC, SCF, CASS, NCOA or UAA?

On Thursday, April 18, 2013, the USPS published their final rule in the Federal Register which will a require mailers to use Full-Service Intelligent Mail to qualify for automation discounts for First-Class postcards, letters and flats when using First-Class Mail, Standard Mail & Periodicals. It will also be a requirement for flats mailed at Bound Printed Matter prices. This will be effective on January 26, 2014.
